Beginners Guide to Escort Marketing
Escort Marketing in the UK
There are two ways of working in the UK as an escort, either through an Agency or by representing yourself independently through an online marketing platform. How to become an escort, which every channel you chose, you are self-employed and fully accountable for yourself and your actions. There are differences which, we’ll go through below.
The Agency will take a commission from every booking as a fee for finding you the work. Commissions vary between agencies, find out what these are before you agree to go on their books. It is likely that the more premium agencies will take a higher commission. You are expected to collect the fees from the client and then pay the agency, again this is worth finding out their requirements for payment.
A good agency will screen their clients before making a booking, usually by calling a landline to confirm the client is at the location provided. A good agency will be meticulous about this process and you will be expected to check in when you arrive and out again once you leave. This is a good opportunity also to feedback on how it went. A good agency will keep records of any problematic clients and be able to blacklist them for any cause of concern.
Agency work is generally easier because they look after the marketing and promotional side of the business, allowing you to get on with the bookings. It is also super handy to know someone is on the other end of the phone if you need them.
If you do not want to go via an agency, you will be purely Independent and need to market yourself in order to find your clients. You will be required to manage everything from the start of their search journey to the positive feedback/review once you have completed the booking, which will take time and graft. A few points to consider below if you are thinking of going solo…
Escorting is a customer-facing, service led role in the Adult service industry… Your job is to find out where your desired customers are and market yourself accordingly. Without a doubt, this will all be done online.
You will need to be accessible to view, have minimum standards for response times on various communication platforms and know which section of the market you want to target. Much like part 1 of How to Become an Escort, your preferences will set who you attract as clientele and where you need to market yourself.
1. Strategy – What are your business objectives?
These include all basic, short term and long term goals. How will you increase your sales and gain competitive advantage? What type of clients do you want and how are you going to measure/review your progress?
2. Plan – How are you going to do this?
This will be based upon your goals above. Where do you see yourself in the market and who are your competitors? What do they do/offer/have and how will you differ? Where do the clients you want to work with look for bookings? Do you have what you need to operate efficiently?
3. Networking – Where do you need to be present?
Depending on who you want to communicate with and what you have to say (if you want to be vocal), will determine where you need to be. For example, if you want to ask one of your peers for some advice, where will you find them and can you contact them cold or do you need to build some rapport? Understand what the purpose is of what communications you are trying to achieve before making contact with your peers or clients.
4. Who are you? – Your presence online
People will want to know who you ‘are’ and where you have come from. Be prepared to put some time into building a profile. This can be done through your own website, an escort website and/or social media depending on what type of space you need to market yourself such as; photos, videos, chat.
Any online presence should be an advert for your business but it will not work long-term if it isn’t true…
Stay honest to yourself and ensure all content is relevant and up to date.
Who is your target market? What do they need to know?… This should all be clear. If you don’t know, they certainly won’t and you could end up losing valuable time trying to clarify.
How do you make your space eye-catching? – Keep it Clean and Simple
This means, crisp, quality images that are a true likeness of yourself. Airbrushing and edits are obvious and as you will discover, it’s clear what looks real and what doesn’t. Images will be your most powerful tool.
With regards to the text, how can you get your personality across whilst keeping the information clear? – Keep it short and to the point mentioning any interests or hobbies. It will give people a hook or talking point, something which is always valued especially on the first contact.
